intheautumnof1621,bountifulcropsofcorn,barley（大麦）,beansandpumpkinswereharvested.thecolonistshadmuchtobethankfulfor,soafeastwasplanned.theyinvitedthelocalindianchiefand90indians.theindiansbroughtdeertoroastwiththeturkeysandotherwildgameofferedbythecolonists.thecolonistshadlearnedhowtocookcranberriesanddifferentkindsofcornandsquashdishesfromtheindians.tothisfirstthanksgiving,theindianshadevenbroughtpopcorn.infollowingyears,manyoftheoriginalcolonistscelebratedtheautumnharvestwithafeastofthanks.
