though rosy lips and cheeks within his bending sickle’s compass come:

尽管红颜和皓齿难免遭受时光的毒手;

Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,

爱并不因瞬息的改变而改变，

But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

它巍然矗立直到末日的尽头。

If this be error and upon me proved,

我这话若说错，并被证明不确，

I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
