Part One —— Analysis of the Teaching Material
1 Status and Background
It’s the last reading passage of this book and also the last one of Grade Eight as well. Reading practice mainly develops students’ vocabulary and reading strategies. It also makes children think of their living conditiongs and their own lives. So does this reading passage. It’s about an migrant---Zhong Wei’s hometown feelings. In our school, there are many left-behind children, some of them are even problem children.Their parents are far away from them and seldom come back. So my students can know the main idea of this passage with the background they have, but as their teacher ,I think I should be very careful when we talk about this topic.I will focus on the changes of our hometown and the beauty of our hometown instead of the poverty or the living conditions of them.

Part Two —— The Teaching Methods
I’ll mainly use task-based teaching method in this period. That is to say, I’ll help my students get a better understanding of the passage by giving them a series of tasks and arranging some kinds of activities like discussions and free talk.
