Dior Make-up is inspired by a love of colour. Eye-catching, cutting-edge shades inspired by the label's own fashion creations... Christian Dior's beloved colour still remains at the heart of the creations at 30 Avenue Montaigne. It is reinvented each season by Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Make-up. From show to show, couture and beauty are brought together through the make-up looks that he designs especially for the occasion.

The COLOURISTS

Peter Philips creates new shades for Dior's colourists to bring to life. Developed through the meticulous selection and blending of pigments, they demand the skill of a true artist and a constant search for harmony and beauty. Between creative freedom and exceptional rigour, eyeshadows, lipsticks and nail varnishes are created in a bold colour scheme, while bases are designed to imitate the skin's natural nuances as closely as possible.

调色大师

The LABORATORY

The textures of Dior's products are pleasant to apply and wear, but also play a crucial role in enhancing women's beauty every day. With this in mind, their effectiveness takes on additional meaning. Designed to beautify and ensure good hold, they must also enhance the unique light effects and allow new pigments created by Peter Philips and developed by Dior's colourists, to fully express their colour. Some of the make-up products, such as the moisturising lipsticks, volumising glosses and sun-protection blushers, also incorporate skincare properties. The meticulous formulation of these products with multiple benefits always concentrates first and foremost on the effectiveness of the skincare and absolute respect for the colour.

The INNOVATION TEAM

Craftsmen from the innovation team utilise their expertise in creating new products and constantly improving existing products. Beyond the products themselves, they also apply themselves to designing and producing special made-to-measure tools for developing ever more innovative make-up.

The EVALUATORS

Forming a team of experts whose role it is to analyse product trials in the laboratory, the evaluators offer their support in the constant quest for make-up that is beautiful, effective and pleasant to wear. Testing tens of products a day, they assist the laboratory and the innovation centre in optimising the application and comfort of the various products.

SPECIAL PALETTES

Every season, exclusive make-up palettes presented in luxurious cases unveil a rich variety of striking motifs (leopard, houndstooth, Bar Jacket…). Ever faithful to the spirit of Dior, inviting beauty and fashion to communicate in this way, today Peter Philips continues this tradition through the creation of unique palettes. Born of the creativity and the artistic work of Dior Beauty, the palettes reveal spectacular colours. The most complex among them require the manual intervention of Dior's craftsmen: they offer several different powders within the same box. Each is sifted separately, so that every section is filled with the desired quantity according to the design of the motif. The palettes are finally packaged by a manual production chain: placed in their boxes, checked and cleaned one last time.

特别版彩妆盘

每一季，都会推出专属彩妆盘，采用风格大胆，图案别致（猎豹、千鸟格、Bar外套......）的奢华包装。Peter Philips秉持以典雅时装与如彩妆结合的品牌精神，通过全新彩妆设计延续品牌传统。这些彩妆盘是Dior迪奥彩妆艺术创意之结晶，展示缤纷跃动色彩。装盘工艺精密复杂，需要品牌工匠手工操作，将多种不同的彩色散粉装入同一彩妆盒中。每种彩色散粉均需分别进行筛滤，以便根据设计的图案将相应数量的散粉分别填入对应的分格中。随后，以人手包装彩妆盘：将其放入彩妆盒，并进行最后一次检视和清洁。

LIPSTICK

This is the laboratory producing the raw material for lipsticks, a blend of pigments, wax and mother-of-pearl. The block of coloured paste is heated until it becomes liquid, then poured into special moulds that will form the solid stick shape of the lipstick. Once cooled, the sticks are removed from the moulds and examined by craftsmen whose role it is to detect any irregularities in shape or colour.

唇膏

实验室负责制造唇膏原料：将染料、蜂蜡和珍珠母贝混合在一起。随后将彩色膏体加热，直至熔化为液体后倒入特殊模具中，凝固后便形成唇膏棒。冷却后，将这些唇膏棒脱模，再由手工艺工匠进行检查，以便确认产品造型或色泽是否存在瑕疵。
