SPRING

Spring, the sweet Spring, is the year's pleasant king;

春，甘美之春，一年之中的尧舜，

Then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring,

处处都有花树，都有女儿环舞，

Cold doth not sting, the pretty birds do sing,

微寒但觉清和，佳禽争着唱歌，

Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!

啁啁，啾啾，哥哥，割麦、插一禾！

What Does Little Birdie Say?

What does little birdie say, 小鸟说些什么呢？

In her nest at peep of day? 在这黎明初晓的小巢中？

Let me fly, says little birdie, 小鸟说，让我飞，

Mother, let me fly away, 妈妈，让我飞走吧。

Birdie, rest a little longer, 宝贝，稍留久一会儿，

Till the little wings are stronger. 等到那对小翅膀再长硬些儿。

So she rests a little longer, 因此它又多留了一会儿，

Then she flies away. 然而它还是飞走了。

Boats Sail On The Rivers

Boats sail on the rivers, 小舟在河上航行，

And ships sail on the seas; 大船在海中操轮，

But clouds that sail across the sky, 然而白云飘过天空时，

Are prettier far than these. 比这些更为悦人。

I am only a baby

I am only a baby

As you can see;

I can say- Ha! Ha! Ha!

I can say - Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!

I know so did you,

When you were a baby too.

A House Of Cards 纸牌堆成的房子

A house of cards is neat and small, 纸牌堆成的房子洁净及小巧

Shake the table it must fall, 摇摇桌子它一定会倒

Find the court cards one by one; 找出绘有人像的纸牌一张张竖起

Raise it, roof it, now it's done再加上顶盖,现在房子已经盖好

Shake the table! That's the fun. 摇摇桌子,那就是它的乐趣。

RESULTS AND ROSES

The man who wants a garden fair, 想有个美丽花园，

Or small or very big, 面积大小姑且不管，

With flowers growing here and there, 只要园中长满鲜花，

Must bend his back and dig. 就必须把汗水挥洒。

The things are mighty few on earth, 这样的事还真是少见，

That wishes can attain, 有愿望就能实现，

Whatever we want of any worth, 只要想要的东西有价值，

We ve got to work to gain. 就得靠努力去创造。

I try

I try to do my best each day , 每天我都在尽最大的努力,

in my work and in my play . 无论是工作还是嬉戏,

and if I always do my best , 不懈地努力,

I needn't worry about my test .只要我坚持就不必为考试着急.

The Sea

The Sea! the Sea! the open Sea!海啊!海啊!辽阔的大海!

The blue, the fresh, the ever free.碧蓝，清新，永远地自由自在，

Without a mark, without a bound,没有标志，没有境界，

It plays with the clouds; it mocks the skites ,与云彩嬉戏，与苍穹嘲弄，

Or like a cradled creature lies.间或婴儿似的静躺在摇篮里。

A Question

Some people live in the country 一些人住在乡村

Where the houses are very small 在那儿他们的房子很小

Some people live in the city 一些人住在城市

Where the houses are very tall 在那儿他们的房子很高

But in the country where the houses are small 但是农村的房子虽小

The gardens are very big 花园却很大

And in the city where the houses are tall 城市的房子很高

There are no gardens at all 却没有花园

Where do you live? 你住在哪儿?
