Optimization 1.The introduction of the problem: Peak-to-Average-Power Reduction of OFDM Signals 1.1 The reason of the problem generated High bandwidth efficiency and robustness against frequency fading are the features of OFDM signals due to multipath propagation. However, high peak to average ratio (PAR of OFDM signals limits performance ofpower amplifier(PA. Because of this, PAR should be reduced in order to keep the PA operating with linear level, which will result in losses of power efficiency. In a word, PAPRof OFDM signals should be reduced. Namely, to minimize the PAR. 1.2 The overview of the PAR minimization A new power spectrum distribution was desired to be developed by optimizing the time domain peak power subjectto error vector magnitude (EVM constraints. Power the signal over its sub-carriers should be redistributed, including the power-free ones. It is processedby a power redistribution of the signal over its sub-carriers,including the power-free ones. . 2.PAR minimization in mathematics Assume that OFDM signal has 48 data, 4pilot, 12 free sub-carriers and 128 symbols.
