中考英语口语日常训练100篇朗读素材
No. 1 People in different parts of the world eat different things. In some countries, people eat rice every day. Sometimes they eat it about two or three times a day. They usually eat it with meat, fish and vegetables. Japanese people eat a lot of fish, and they also eat a lot of rice. In western countries, the most important food is bread and potatoes. People there cook potatoes in different ways. Some people mostly eat rice, corns, wheat, fruit and vegetables. They don’t eat meat, fish or anything that comes from animals. They only eat food from plants. Some people say that food from plants is better for us than meat. No. 2 I asked some friends about their ways of learning English. Mary is a shy girl. She doesn’t talk much but she likes listening to tapes to improve her listening. I suggested that if she could talk with friends in English, she would be good at English. Also, John, my good friend, talked with me about his ways to learn English. He writes vocabulary lists because he believes that vocabulary is more important than grammar. With his large vocabularies, he likes reading English books and magazines, too. Now you may ask me the same question: What are my ways of improving English? I will say I watch English-language TV, which is the best way for me. No. 3 I am a middle school student. As a teenager, I think we should study hard and try our best to learn all the subjects well. We shouldn’t concentrate much on our clothes and food. We should help each other and learn from each other. We shouldn’t be allowed to spend much time watching TV. We have a lot of rules at school, but I think some rules must be changed. Teenagers should be allowed to have some free time to do what they like. We should be allowed to spend some time with friends and doing sports, but we shouldn’t be allowed to drive a car. No. 4 In many parts of the world, farmers and their families live in villages or towns. But in the United States each farmer lives on their own fields, often without any neighbors. American farmers stay on their land for a whole week. They do not have to go from a village to the fields every morning. They go to the nearest town on Saturdays for shopping or on Sundays for a party. The children take buses to large schools. These schools are for the farm families. Some children will walk to school if there are no roads for buses to go by for them.
No. 5 Babies love chocolate and sometimes they also eat the paper around it. My cat enjoys a meal of good, thick paper, old letters, for example. She does not like newspapers very much. Of course, the best paper comes from wood. Wood comes from trees, and trees are plants. Vegetables and fruit are plants, too, and we eat a lot of them. So can we also eat wood and paper? Scientists say, “We can turn paper into food. It will be good food, cheaper than meat or fish or eggs.”
So please keep your old books and letters. (Don't feed your cat. One day, they will be on your plate if what scientists say may come true.
No. 6 Last night, when the car accident happened just in front of our house, I was doing my homework. What was my father doing at that time? He was reading a newspaper. My mother? Hmm….Yes, she was doing some washing. While my sister was watching TV, she heard the sound. She said that she was so scared. Our cat Mimi ran away, too. Before that it was playing on the floor. Luckily, the drivers weren’t injured badly. I think if they weren’t driving so fast, the accident wouldn’t happen.
No. 7 Waste can be seen everywhere in the school. Some students ask for more food than they can eat and others often forget to turn off the lights when they leave the classroom. We should say no to the students who waste things every day. In our everyday life, we can do many things to stop waste from happening, for example, turn off the water taps when we finish washing , turn off the lights when we leave the classroom, try not to order more food than we need and so on. Little by little, everything will be changed. Waste can be stopped one day if we do our best. No. 8 A tramp (流浪者,乞丐)was sleeping on a park bench. An old man walked past and asked, “Excuse me. What's the time?” “I don't know!” he said angrily. And he went back to sleep. Some time later another man woke him up and said, “I am sorry to bother you, but I wonder if you could tell me what time it is.”
Again the tramp said he didn't know. Then he got a pen and a piece of paper and wrote I don’t know what the time is on it and went back to sleep.
Half an hour later, a kind-hearted policeman was passing. He read the sign, woke the tramp up and said, “It's 2:30, sir!”
No. 9 Once there lived a girl. Her name was Wendy Darling. She looked very pretty, just like a little flower. She had two younger brothers, John and Michael. They were very happy with their mother. There was one more in their family, a big dog called Nana. She bathed and dressed the children like a nurse. She took care of them all the time. At bedtime, Wendy told her brothers stories about a faraway place, the Neverland. The Neverland was a make-believe island. It was filled with jolly(欢乐的 places and interesting people. The most wonderful of all was Peter Pan, a boy who never grew up.
No. 10 A rich man went to the market. On a mountain road he was stopped by two robbers. The rich man turned around and ran, but he was caught by the robbers. The robbers held him down and stole five coins from his pocket. Then they let him go. The rich man was relieved, and said, “If I had known that you only wanted five coins, I wouldn’t have run.” The robbers were puzzled, “Then why did you run so quickly?” they asked. The rich man said, “I thought you wanted the gold hidden in my shoes.”
No. 11 Mr. Lee was in bed and was trying to go to sleep when the bell rang. He turned on the light and looked at his clock. It was twelve o'clock. "Who can it be at this time of night?" He thought. He decided to go and find out. So he got out of bed, put on his clothes and went to the door. When he opened the door, there was nobody there. "That is very strange." Then he went back to his bedroom, took off his clothes, got back into bed, turned off the light and tried to go to sleep.
