一．句型用法

none 可用来回答 How many / much…？ 的特殊疑问句；而 no one / nobody 及 nothing 则分别用来回答 Who…？ 和 What…？ 的特殊疑问句。

——How many birds are there in the tree？

—— None.
——What is in the box？

—— Nothing.

——Who is in the classroom？

——No one / Nobody.

none 可用来回答“ any + 名词”构成的一般疑问句：而 nobody 和 nothing 则分别用来回答由 anybody 和 anything 构成的一般疑问句。
— Is there any bread left？
— No，none at all.
— Is there anything in the sky？
— No，nothing.

none 可用来指代前面提到过的人或物；如无指代时可用 no one / nobody 及 nothing

We had three cats — none of them is alive now.

我们有三只猫,他们中没有一个是活着的现在。

二．固定搭配

1. none 与 not all / all…not
not all / all…not意为“并不是所有的”表示三者或三者以上的部分否定；而 none 表示三者或三者以上的全部否定。

Not all ads are good. 并非所有的广告都好。

All are not friends that speak us fair.向我们说好话的并不都是好朋友。

2. none but，nobody but及 nothing but
①.nobody but表示“除了…没有人”,表示单一概念，谓语动词用单数形式。

Nobody but he is often late for school. 除他以外，没有人上学常迟到。

②.none but表示“只有”可指人也可指物，通常指前面提到的同一事物，谓语动词要用复数形式。

None but fools have even believed it. 只有傻瓜才能相信这一点。

None but a strong man could have lifted it. 只有身强力壮的人能举得起它

③. nothing but = only ，意为“只有，只不过”泛指 but 后事物以外的任何事物。

There is a variety of fruit,but he chose nothing but an apple.

这儿有很多水果，但他只选了一个苹果。

We could see nothing but water. 我们只能看见水。

3.none 可指物质名词或抽象概念，构成短语 have none of ，意为“不允许；不接受；拒绝参加”，常和 will / would 连用，表示意愿。

I'll have none of your stupid ideas!
我才不接受你那愚蠢的意见！
4.none other （表示惊讶）不是别人，不是别的；就是，正是
It's none other than Tom! 它的不是别人,正是汤姆!
5.none the wiser 不知情；不晓得

If we take only one piece of cake, mother will be none the wiser.
假如我们只吃一块蛋糕，妈妈是不会知道的。
6.none too 不太；一点也不

She did it none too well. 她做得一点儿也不好。

7.none other than 就是；恰恰是，正是

The new arrival was none other than the President.

8.second to none首屈一指的(the best)；In the output of grain, China is second to none. 

在粮食产量上， 中国首屈一指。

9.none the一点也不(用在比较级前)；

She is my happiness!- she is my torture, none the less! 

她是我的幸福！ ——也分毫不爽地是我的拆磨！

10.none too不太 (not very)。

3. none of/nothing of

none of（三个或以上）都不；没有一个。

None of these appeal to me.这些都不能引起我的兴趣。

nothing of没有…的事了

But he saw nothing of this. 可是这些他什么也没有看到。

Please go back; there is nothing of your concern now.

请回去吧， 没有你的事了。

三．具体区别与用法

1.no one / nobody 常用来指人，作主语时谓语动词要用单数形式；nothing 常用来指物，作主语时谓语动词也要用单数形式；none 可指人也可指物，作主语时，和 of 连用指不可数名词时，谓语动词要用单数形式；指可数名词时，谓语动词用单、复数均可。

No one likes a person with bad manners.

Nothing is difficult in the world if you put your heart into it.
None of them has / have seen me before.
None of this money belongs to me.

None of the telephones is/are working.

电话中没有一部不是坏的。

None of my friends know/knows about it.

我的朋友没有一个人知道这件事。

None of this bread looks fresh.这面包一点儿也不新鲜。

2.none作主语，谓语动词单复数均可。但如做表语，则其单复数与表语一致。 It is none of your business.

3.no one＝nobody，只能指人，不能指物，语气比none强，后面不能接of构成的短语。no one作主语时，谓语动词只能用单数形式。

No one/Nobody likes a person with bad manners.

没有人喜欢不讲礼貌的人。

4.nothing＝not anything，意为“没有任何东西；没有什么”。它表示的是事物的种类。
Nothing is found on the table.桌子上什么也没有。

5.none＝not any; not one，可以指人，意为“没有什么人”；也可以指物，意为“没有任何东西”。
He wants me to lend him some money, but I have none at hand.他想要我借些钱给他，但我现在手头上一个子儿也没有。
None has left there.没有一个人离开那儿。
6.none指的是三者或三者以上的人或物中“没有一个”，如果指两者中“没有一个”应用neither。
There are many apples in the basket, but none of them are of fresh.篮子里有许多苹果，但没有一个是新鲜的。
Neither of his parents is at home.他的父母都不在家。

7.用于简略回答时，none用来回答由How many…和How much…引起的问句以及含“any(of)＋名词”构成的一般疑问句；no one/nobody用来回答Who…问句及含anybody构成的一般疑问句；而nothing则用来回答What…问句及含anything构成的一般疑问句。
—How much water is there in the bottle?瓶子里有多少水？
—None.一点也没有。
—What’s on the table?桌上有什么？
—Nothing.什么也没有。
—Who will go to the party?谁将去参加晚会？
—No one/Nobody.没人去。
