Recently there is a hot topic among the general public concerning waste sorting. As is shown in the picture a woman is sorting rubbish into different cans. Below the drawing there is a topic which says that “everybody has responsibility in waste sorting. Simple and concisely as the cartoon seems to be the implication behind it is as deep as an ocean and represents a progress of our society.
This picture shows a development of environmental protection in our society by stressing the fact that waste sorting is one of everyone’s social duties which without doubt is beneficial to their own living in the same surrounding. Factors abound but the dominating factors contributing to the rationality of waste sorting comes as follows. First of all according to one lastest survey conducted by a certain national authority approximately 57% of rubbish has the potential to be reused with proper technical efforts. It is only the waste sorting that can avoid previous unnecessary wasting. What’s more it is not uncommon to find that our city will be more neat tidy and comfortable if we cultivate the habit of waste sorting. Without wasting sorting how could it possible for us citizens to achieve the ultimate goal of building an eco-civilization?
Considering every aspect of this phenomenon we should bear in mind that waste sorting not only contributes to the common life of every individual but also is a directive factor in the conduct of the eco-civilization. For one thing the government has taken steps to encourage every citizen to pay more attention to it. For another mass media such as radio television and the Internet are supposed to make more effort to advocate it. Looking further more it is only when the whole society is attaching importance to waste sorting that we can say with full confidence that it is reasonable for us to expect a promising society.
