9:15 读作：a quarter past nine或fifteen past nine

11:30 读作：half past eleven或thirty past eleven

其中15分读作a quarter，30分钟读作half。

2. 分钟大于30的用to。to表示“差多少”的“差”，具体的表达方式为“（60分钟-原分钟数）+ to +（原钟点数+ 1）”如：

4:32 读作：twenty - eight to five

6:45 读作：a quarter to seven

11:58 读作：two to twelve

归纳以上借助past和to表达时间的方法，可以编如下的顺口溜记忆其规律：

30分以内，分在前，点在后，past在中间；

30分以外，分用60减，点要加上1，用to来连接。

若想表明是上午，可在时间后加上am或a.m.。如：thirteen past six a.m. （上午六点十三分）等。

若想表明是下午，可 在时间后加上pm或p.m.。如：four o'clock p.m. （下午四点）等。

另外英语中的noon 和 midnight 可分别直接表示白天和夜晚的12点

若表示的时间不够准确，可在时间前加上介词about大约、almost等。
