对许多制药企业而言,2005年是一个过渡年。这一年,他们不仅要面对药品安全性咨询题的频发,而且要妥善处理企业内部的成本操纵咨询题。然而,人口的老龄化进展和药品研发链的持续充实却是全球药品市场增长的强劲推动力,同时也为制药企业带来了期望。
据IMS报道,2005年全球医药市场规模达6020亿美元。尽管市场规模可观,但其增长率却为1998年以来最低,仅为7%。一方面,“重磅炸弹”产品连续支撑制药巨头主导全球医药市场格局,另一方面,品牌药的专利到期阻碍了制药巨头的快速进展。目前各国政府普遍都在进行医疗体制改革,以操纵医疗费用的过快增长。同时,由于研发费用持续上升,新药开发难度加大,药政治理更趋严格,以后全球医药市场的增长将进一步放缓,逐步进入稳固增长期。据IMS估量,以后5年内,全球医药市场将以5%~8%的复合年增长率增长。
分析连续2年的福布斯排行榜,可知:由COX-2抑制剂安全性咨询题引起的药品召回对制药巨头的阻碍依旧存在。辉瑞公司(Pfizer)尽管在2005年连续荣登福布斯制药企业排行榜的首位,但其全球企业排名从2004年的第23位下滑至2005年的第33位,各项指标均有不同程度的“缩水”。2005年美国默克公司(Merck)的福布斯制药企业排名为第7位,全球企业排名为第123位,分不下滑了1位和16位。
由法国制药企业赛诺菲-圣德拉堡公司(Sanofi-Synthelabo)和安万特公司(Aventis)合并而成的赛诺菲-安万特公司(Sanofi-Aventis)明显是一匹不可小觑的“黑马”,2005年一举闯入福布斯制药企业排名第3的位置。而在上年位列制药企业第3、4、5、6位的葛兰素史克公司(GlaxoSmithKline)、诺华公司(Novartis)、罗氏公司(Roche)和默克公司,则因此而纷纷顺移一位,2005年分不位列第4、5、6、7位。具体请见表1、表2。

本文将按照福布斯制药企业全球排名的顺序,依次介绍世界十大制药巨头的2006年业绩情形。
1、辉瑞公司:净收益增长 销售收入下滑
美国辉瑞公司(Pfizer)公布2006年第一季度业绩报告。一些产品面临非专利药物竞争,而拳头产品降血脂药阿托伐他汀(atorvastatin,立普妥,Lipitor)的销售不及预期,本季度公司净收益增长,销售收入下滑。
净收益增长至41亿美元,或每股收益0.56美元,上年同期为3.01亿美元,或每股收益0.04美元。上年的低收益要紧是由于税费方面支出引起的。本季度辉瑞销售收入下跌3%,为127亿美元。不计专门开支,第一季度每股收益为0.61美元,高于分析师预期。

神经性疼痛和癫痫治疗药普瑞巴林(pregabalin,Lyrica)上市后表现良好,本季度销售收入更是大幅增长了几乎9倍,为1.92亿美元,上年同期为2000万美元。公司估量今年本品的销售收入将达到9亿美元。Lyrica的良好表现或将补偿由于非专利药竞争带来的不利阻碍。抗关节炎药塞来考昔(celecoxib,Celebrex)销售收入增长19%,为5.92亿美元。新上市的抗癌药物sunitinib(Sutent)本季度销售收入为1600万美元。非典型抗精神病药齐拉西酮(ziprasidone,Geodon)销售收入增长32%,为1.82亿美元,今年有望达到8亿美元。勃起功能障碍(ED)治疗药物西地那非(sildenafil,万艾可,Viagra)需求连续下降,本季度销售收入下跌11%,为3.90亿美元。

2、强生公司:受非专利药竞争阻碍 处方药销售下滑2.2%

3、赛诺菲-安万特公司:一季度净收益大幅增长
法国制药企业塞诺菲-安万特公司(Sanofi-Aventis)公布2006年第一季度业绩报告。受到疫苗销售强劲、有利汇率阻碍等因素的推动作用,本季度公司净收益几乎翻了三番。公司表示,将在日本上市抗凝药氯吡格雷(clopidogrel,Plavix),同时打算今年晚些时候分不在美国和欧洲上市戒烟和肥胖症治疗药rimonabant (Acomplia),本品目前正在同意审批。

4、葛兰素史克公司:疫苗业务“点亮”一季度业绩
受到抗哮喘药氟替卡松+沙美特罗的复方制剂(fluticasone + salmeterol,Seretide/Advair)、糖尿病治疗药物罗格列酮(rosiglitazone,Avandia)等拳头产品销售强劲及疫苗业务的销售良好的推动作用,葛兰素史克公司(GlaxoSmithKline)2006年第一季度业绩喜人,净收益增长25%。公司打算今年下半年分不向欧洲和美国提交在研药物乳癌治疗药lapatinib(Tykerb)的上市申请。
本季度公司净收益15亿英镑(合27亿美元),上年同期为12亿英镑。销售收入增长15%,为58.1亿英镑(合104亿美元)。
与其他企业相比,葛兰素史克的产品线相对比较充盈。公司拥有9个研发后期的产品和45个正处于Ⅱ期临床研究的产品。其中最受关注的是乳癌治疗药Tykerb和宫颈癌疫苗Cervarix。据了解,今年3月葛兰素史克已向欧洲药审委(EMEA)提交了Cervarix的新药上市申请,公司打算今年年底前向美国FDA提交本品的上市申请。此外,葛兰素史克表示将于今年下半年提交Tykerb的上市申请,并对明年上市本品充满信心。而在这些产品上市前,公司的业绩增长依旧有赖于Advair、Avandia等拳头产品的推动。本季度Advair销售收入增长12%,为8.16亿英镑(合15亿美元)。Avandia销售收入增长24%,为3.84亿英镑(合6.863亿美元)。据悉,去年Avandia和抗抑郁药物帕罗西汀(paroxetine,Paxil CR)因为生产过程不达标而被FDA勒令停产4个月。
目前看来,葛兰素史克正慢慢摆脱去年Paxil供应咨询题的阴影,公司估量今年每股收益增长将达到10%。这是一个销售强劲的季度。分析认为,葛兰素史克最大的“惊喜”当属其疫苗业务。本季度疫苗业务销售收入大大超过预期,增长47.5%,达3.66亿英镑(合6.542亿美元)。婴幼儿疫苗Infanrix(白喉-破伤风类毒素-吸附型无细胞百日咳疫苗)销售强劲,本季度销售收入增长54%,为1.24亿英镑(合2.216亿美元)。肝炎疫苗销售增长18%,为1.16亿英镑(合2.074亿美元)。而疫苗新产品,包括增强青青年抗百日咳(哮咳)免疫力的破伤风和白喉复方疫苗(Boostrix)以及轮状病毒疫苗Rotarix,销售收入总计达2300万英镑(合4110万美元)。

5、诺华公司:一季度利润增长32%
瑞士制药巨头诺华公司(Novartis)2006年第一季度净收益增长32%,为19.6亿美元,上年同期为14.8亿美元。据了解,诺华将其位于法国的Nutrition & Sante饮食业务售予了ABN Amro Capital公司,以集中精力于药品和保健产品业务。此举为诺华带来一次性收益达1.29亿美元。
除了一次性收益以外,本季度业绩的增长还有赖于公司各部门的运营情形良好以及较低的成本开支。本季度公司销售收入增长13%,为83.0亿美元,上年同期为73.4亿美元。其中,药品部门销售收入增长5%,为50.5亿美元,上年同期为47.9亿美元;非专利药物部门山德士公司(Sandoz)销售增长78%,为14.3亿美元,上年同期为8.03亿美元;消费者保健业务销售增长4%,为18.2亿美元,上年同期为17.5亿美元。

7、默克公司:一季度净收益增长11%

9、阿斯利康公司:一季度业绩好于预期
受到拳头产品销售强劲的推动作用以及有效的成本节约措施,阿斯利康公司(astrazeneca)2006年第一季度业绩好于预期。公司上调了2006年全年收益方针。
