What is your most ideal day? Do you know exactly how you want to live your life for the next five days, five weeks, five months or five years? When was the last best day of your life? When is the next?

The best day of our lives is today. The past is no longer here. We cannot enjoy it any longer. To dwell on the past is to waste the opportunity to enjoy the present. The future is a promise, a time that will not come because what we have is only today. When tomorrow comes, it will not be tomorrow any more; it becomes your today. You cannot enjoy tomorrow unless you know how to enjoy your today. If you are to live thirty more years, you are going to experience 10,950 todays. But every day that passes without your notice is a day cut off from your life. Your life is a day shorter every new day.

Each day is a decision to live. Today is a gift; this is why it is called the "present". How you use this day is up to you. At each new day, you decide whether to unwrap that gift, or let it stay in the corner and spoil. Each day is a decision to live your ideal life.

I have never heard my father raise his voice or yell at anyone. He talks quietly and slowly when angered, but his voice also deepens and he makes sure that he has your full attention. He is as gentle and soft-hearted as usual, and rules with his heart, not his hands. We never wanted to disappoint him, but knew that we should try our best, which was all that he would ever ask. We were safe in knowing that Dad’s love was unconditional, and that it always would be. He has a way of making people laugh, and children simply like him. I’ve always respected his integrity1, honesty and openness. I can’t imagine a childhood without a father like mine —and I love him to pieces.

Stop trying to prove how bad things are to the world. Start showing the world how great things can be.

From the same place where you slid backwards, you can begin to move ahead. Whether you are in a good place or a bad place depends entirely on where you choose to go next. Where your passion and attention are consistently focused is where your life will go. Focus on the positive possibilities that excite you the most.

Don’t let your excuses continue to hold you back. Allow your effective and purposeful actions to move you forward. You don’t have to save the whole world in a single bound. Small steps, taken again and again, will accomplish far more than any grandiose* scheme.

Now is the moment in which you are living, and now is the moment to give your very best to life. Yes, you can do it, so choose right now to find real joy in exploring your opportunities.

Flowers Tell Everything

Who can deny1 the beauty of flowers? They are beautiful things with lovely smells that are considered to be the best way to show our feelings. Here are some flowers in various forms, colors and smells that can be used to convey2 your feelings.

     The rose is called the queen of flowers because of its glory. The red rose symbolizes love, passion, gratitude3 and bravery. The pink rose shows admiration, happiness and appreciation. The yellow rose symbolizes joy, a new beginning, hope and friendship. For the people that like the white rose, it symbolizes innocence4 and true love.

     The orchid5 is the symbol of love, beauty and fertility.

     The daisy symbolizes purity and loyalty.

     The sunflower symbolizes devotion and sunshine.

     The tulip6 is the symbol of fame, perfect love and luck.

     The iris7 symbolizes friendship, wisdom and faith.

     The lily symbolizes purity, simplicity and beauty.

     Now you know the meaning of each flower, so you should not give the wrong flower for the wrong reason or feeling. Flowers will help you describe how you feel, since they reveal everything.

Every day I wake up and think to myself, "What is going to be my miracle today?" I meditate, and listen to beautiful music, and go through the steps of what I need to accomplish that day. I lie in my bed and think of all the adventures I’m going to have, even if it’s just going to the store, cleaning the house, or just doing the ordinary things of everyday life. I always think: What miracle is going to happen today? What great and unexpected thing is going to happen? It could be a compliment from someone, or it could be a discount at the store that I didn’t expect. It could be so many things.But the one thing that stays constant in my mind is that a miracle is going to happen every day.In that way,my life becomes an adventure to see exactly what it’s going to be. It could be that phone call I’ve been expecting, or forgotten about. Someone from long ago appears, and still remembers me in a loving way.That is my miracle for the day. So what is yours going to be?

It is the road you take that decides your destiny but not your destiny that decides the road you take.

The question is: Are you satisfied with who you are? Are you doing what you are capable of doing? Do you get excited about what you are going to do when you get up in the morning? It is high time you asked these questions that reflect the truth about your life. More often than not we have the ability to achieve much greater things, but we get caught in the average things in life and waste our potential. Each one of us has immense ability. But most of us fail to use it. Why?

1. There is no exact purpose for your life.

2. You underestimate yourself.

3. You are too busy to think about any-thing.

4. You are in a comfortable zone.

5. You fear failure.

Ask yourself, what difference am I making in the lives of others? Would you be happy and satisfied with what you have achieved? Are you following your passion? You must find what you love and what gives you fulfillment. Don’t be afraid to make a new beginning. Go deep and explore the possibilities. As you go deeper and deeper, you begin to add meaning to your life.

These days there are a lot of talks about people’s inborn abilities. Great speakers stress the fact that everybody has a lot of potential which if put into action could bring incredible results. It may be hard for a person to believe in himself or herself, especially if one comes from a humble background. But the truth is that your success should not be tied to your academic performance or childhood experiences. The fact that you don’t do well in your class work can not be used to fully declare you a failure in life. Remember that there are so many success stories that were born away from classrooms. All you need to do is to identify your inner abilities and put them into action.

Unfortunately, many people waste their time just imitating others, and never get around to finding their own talents. I’ve also met people with more than four undergraduate degrees, who end up practicing just one profession; it means that they have been trying to locate their happiness. You will only find satisfaction when you discover your inborn potential. Once you’ve found it, acting to realize it becomes relatively easy.

One’s mother is the hometown of one’s soul, the oasis* of one’s life, and the harbor of love. A mother’s love is holy and generous, and, beyond the limits of time and space, stays with her children forever. It is the most beautiful thing in the world.

Whenever you’re away from home, your mother misses you, and is waiting for you.

Whenever you make progress, she smiles, and is happy for you. She may not give you a lot of compliments, but she is certainly proud of you.

Whenever you’re in trouble, your mother is there for you. She may not encourage you immediately, but she will do her best to help you stand on your own feet.

We all know that a mother’s love is the most beautiful in the world. We can’t express it properly in words, but we all know it is the greatest.

Striving1 for excellence. There’s no doubt that athletes strive for excellence. They have to because they compete with the top athletes from across the globe. When we think about striving for excellence, first we have to decide which area of our lives we want to apply it to.

Never giving up. Athletes who have competed in Olympic events never give up. Even athletes who don’t win medals still don’t give up.This is the difference between athletes and regular people. Whenever we set out to achieve goals, there will always be hurdles2. We have to anticipate3 these hurdles, plan ahead and never give up.

Fulfilling4 our potential. Gaining a medal is the ultimate5 purpose that athletes strive for. Imagine the feeling once you reach your ultimate goal; imagine how you will feel then. Just make sure you hold on to that feeling no matter what happens.

The gift of listening. No interrupting, no daydreaming, no planning your response. Just listen.

     The gift of affection1. Be generous2 with appropriate hugs, kisses, pats on the back and handshakes. Let these small actions demonstrate3 the love you have for your family and friends.

     The gift of laughter4. Share articles and funny stories. Your friends will say, "I love to laugh with you."

     The gift of a written note. It can be a simple "Thanks for the help" note. A brief, handwritten note may be remembered for a life time, and may even change someone’s life.

     The gift of a compliment. Simple and sincere "You look great in red", "You did a super job"or "That was a wonderful meal" can make someone have a wonderful day.

     The gift of solitude5. There are times when we want nothing better than to be left alone. Be sensitive6 to those times and give the gift of solitude to others.

     The gift of a favor. Every day, spend some of your time doing something kind.
