二、培养目标
本专业培养德智体美全面发展、基础宽厚、作风严谨、适应性强、具有较强创新创业能力,适应社会主义市场经济需要,具备在光电材料与器件、光电子技术相关领域中从事科研、教学、技术开发和管理工作能力的创新型研究人才或高级应用性人才。毕业生适合在材料、电子、通讯、IT行业或相关管理部门,从事光电材料与器件、光电子技术的设计、生产、开发应用和管理等工作,也可以在科研部门从事科研开发工作和教育部门从事教学工作。
三、培养规格及基本要求
本专业是由物理学与光电子学、材料科学、微电子学交叉融合而形成的一个应用型理科专业,设有光电材料和器件专业方向。毕业生应获得以下几方面的知识、能力和素质。
1.知识结构要求
工具性知识:掌握计算机语言、现代程序设计、计算机应用等知识和技能;有较强的语言表达能力,掌握一门外国语,能初步阅读本专业外文书刊;掌握资料查询、文献检索及运用现代信息技术获得相关信息的基本方法;掌握撰写文献综述、毕业设计论文、学术论文的基本方法。
人文科学和社会科学知识:有一定的文学修养;初步掌握唯物辩证法,能从哲学的角度看待世界、分析问题;有较系统的法律知识和初步的社会学知识;了解世界科技史;了解国家关于科学技术的有关政策和法规。
经济管理知识:具备经济学、管理学等现代人才所必须具备的知识和技能。
自然科学知识:掌握系统的高等数学、数理方法等方面的基本原理、基本知识。
工程技术知识:有一定的工程制图知识,能读懂简单的图纸;具有完整的电路理论、模拟和数字电子技术知识。
学科专业知识:系统地学习基础物理学和理论物理学,掌握坚实的物理学基本知识、基本实验方法和技能;在掌握光电材料和器件物理基本理论和技能的基础上,系统地学习光电子技术领域的基础理论知识以及光电材料和器件的工作原理和制造工艺。
2.能力结构要求
获取知识的能力:要求具备自主学习能力和高效的学习方法;有应用计算机及信息技术能力;有较强的语言表达能力、社交能力和合作、协调能力等。
应用知识能力:要求有较强的实验方案选择能力,能熟练使用仪器;能综合分析实际问题,并初步具备应用综合知识解决实际问题的能力。
科研创新能力:有一定的自主设计实验的能力,能验证、探索已有结论;有一定的创造性思维,思想活跃、思维开阔;有初步的科技开发能力、科技研究能力,较强的钻研精神。
3.素质结构要求
思想道德素质:有积极向上的世界观、人生观和价值观;具备社会主义的道德品质和文明的行为习惯、敬业精神和职业道德;有法制意识和道德观念;诚信做人、做事、做学问。
文化素质:有一定的人文科学知识;具备一定音乐、美术、文学、艺术等鉴赏力和品位;较强的创新意识和竞争意识;有自我控制能力,能理性地处理生活、学习和工作中发生的各种事情。
专业素质:具备求实、求真的精神和创新意识;掌握物理学的科学思维与研究方法;有较强的逻辑思维能力和辩证思维能力;能综合分析和解决实际的科学技术问题。
身心素质:有健康的身体和良好的体魄;有良好的心理素质、正确的自我认识、健全的人格和坚忍不拔的毅力。

本专业为适应当代信息化社会高科技迅速发展的需要,着重光电材料及技术方向的基础知识和能力的培养,突出光电信息基本载体特征。以理论基础扎实,并且与实践相结合,具有应用性、针对性、前沿性为基本特色。采取与相关企业合作方式,针对产业需求培养高级应用型人才,同时也注重输送学生到更高层次继续深造。

Ⅰ Name of Major: Applied Physics Code for Major:070202
Ⅱ Objectives
To meet the demand of socialist market economy in China, this program aims to promote students' all-round development in morality, intelligence and physical health, and develop creative research fellow or high quality application-oriented talents, who have solid and broad academic knowledge, strong mind, adaptable and innovative skills. They should be equipped with the working ability in scientific research, teaching, technical development and management in the areas of optoelectronic materials and devices, and optoelectronic technology. The graduates are expected to work in the fields, including trades of materials, electronics, telecommunication, IT and other related administrative sections, dealing with the design, production, development, application and management of optoelectronic materials and devices, and optoelectronic technology. They may also be engaged in scientific research and development or teaching in relevant research and educational institutions.
Ⅲ Basic Requirements on Knowledge and Abilities
This program is one of the applied sciences with interdisciplinary knowledge in physics, optoelectronics, material science and microelectronics, and has a featured specialty in optoelectronic materials and devices. The graduates are expected to gain the following knowledge, abilities and qualities:
(i) Knowledge Requirements
Instrumental knowledge: computer language, programming, and the application; good language skills, including proficiency of a foreign language with basic ability to read the major-related foreign books and periodicals; skills in literature searching and information access with modern information technology; general methods in writing literature reviews, degree thesis, and scientific articles.
Knowledge in humanities and social sciences: certain knowledge of literature; preliminary knowledge of dialectical materialism and the ability to understand the world and analyze problems from philosophical perspective; systematic knowledge of laws and preliminary knowledge of sociology; basic knowledge of the world history of science and technology; basic knowledge of the national policies and regulations of science and technology.
Knowledge in economic management: fundamental knowledge in economics and management demanded by the modern society.
Knowledge in natural science: fundamental and systematic principles and knowledge of advanced mathematics, methods of mathematic physics.
Knowledge in engineering and technology: certain knowledge of engineering drawing to understand basic draft; full knowledge of electric circuit, analogue and digital electronic technologies.
Discipline-related knowledge: systematic study of classic and modern physics, understanding of the basic knowledge, laboratory methods and skills; systematic study of basic theories and knowledge in optoelectronic technology, and principles and processing of optoelectronic materials and devices, based on the theoretical knowledge and skills of optoelectronic materials and devices.
(ii) Ability Requirements
Ability to acquire knowledge: ability of autonomous and efficient learning; ability to use computer and information technology; good language and social skills; teamwork spirit and collaborative abilities.
Ability to use knowledge: good ability to make proper plans of experiment and employ scientific instruments; ability to synthesize and analyze practical problems and solve problems with comprehensive knowledge.
Ability of scientific research and innovation: ability to design experiments to verify and study scientific assumptions; creative thinking, active thought and open mind; preliminary ability for scientific development and research.

Ⅸ Characteristics of the Major
To meet the demands of fast development of high technology in current information-based society, the program attaches great importance to the fundamental knowledge and abilities in optoelectronic materials and technology, with special emphasis on the function of photo-electricity as the carrier. It is featured by the combination of solid theoretical foundation and practice, knowledge and applications, targeted specialty and frontier. The program aims to prepare high quality application-oriented talents to meet industrial demands by cooperation with related industries, and also encourages students to pursue postgraduate studies.

N2: The course “Current Issues and Policies” will be lectured for 16 periods and evaluated once each semester, the score of this course will be the average of scores obtained in all academic years.
N3. Those whose English scores in college entrance examination rank top 30% among all freshmen of our university are qualified for English level test organized by the university; those who score A grade in both written and oral tests can be exempted from College English 2 and College English 4.
N4: 38 periods of Career Development and Employment Guidance are allocated in terms 1, 4, 5 and 7, with 12, 4, 16 and 6 periods in each term respectively.
