MyacademicbackgroundofundergraduateperiodinxxxxxxUniversitywasthefouryearsstudyinPhysicsmajor,whichletmehavesolidfoundationofscienceknowledgesystematicallyandprecisethinkingstyle.Beingthebestonehasbeenmycharacterwhichpushesmetohaveagoodacademicrecord.Asresultofmyownendeavorandtheamazinguniversitylife,Ikeptbeingoneofthetopstudentsinmyclass.Throughthestudyingperiodinphysics,Ihavemasteredthebasictheoreticalknowledgeinphysicsandrelatedresearchmethods,whichwilldefinitelybenefitmealotformyfurtherstudyinenvironmentalscience.Inmypostgraduateperiod,IhopetolearntheknowledgeandspecialresearchmethodinenvironmentalsciencebycombingmymathematicalandphysicalknowledgelearntfromundergraduateprogrammeandapplywhatIlearnttotheareaofhowtosolvingthespecificprobleminenvironment.Moreover,Icanmakerecognitionandanalysisfromanotherperspectivedifferentfromthosestudentswhomajoredinenvironmentintheirundergraduateperiod,whichcanmakesupplementforsomelimitinknowledge.Atthesametime,IcanlearnnewthinkingstyleandmethodtosolveproblemfromthemtomakeupwhatIamlackof.Thiskindoflearningcanbroadenmyvision,breakdownthelimitsofsubjectsandhelpmetopursuemyfuturecareerinthatfield.
Duringmyundergraduateperiod,Ialsospentsometimeintravelingandseethebeautifulandbreathtakingsceneriesinthenature.Nevertheless,therelationshipbetweenhumanandenvironmentissoharmonywhichreallyamazedandfascinatedme.WhileinmostdevelopingcountrieslikeChina,theenvironmentpollutionproblemisbecomingmoreandmoreseriousasthespeedineconomicdevelopmentisbecomingveryfast.People’sheathisbadlythreatened.WheneverIthinkofthis,Ifeltitwouldbegreattodosomethingonitbyusingtheknowledgeandtechnologylearntinschool.Ihavebecomeincreasinglyfascinatedbyenvironmentalscienceorengineeringasascientificdisciplineandmydecisiontopursueitasmylifelongcareerisreinforced.
Actually,inthebeginningenvironmentalscienceorengineeringismerelyasunriseindustryinmyopinionandrepresentsoneofthedevelopmentswhichcanoffermanyopportunitiesanddevelopingspaceforyoungpeoplewhoaredeterminedtocontributetothisindustry.Whereas,withdeeperandbroaderknowledgeofenvironmentalscienceorengineering,Idiscoverthatenvironmentalproblemsaretooseveretoescapeandhumanbeingshavetofaceitandsolveitimmediately.Ithasbeenfarfromlimitingtodesertificationandclimatetransformation,inspiteofthese,manyfactsofenvironmentaldamageshaveastonishesus,suchasheavymental

pollution,waterpollution,andmarineconservationproblems.Environmentprotectionandimprovinghavebeenmyresponsibilitiesasaresidenceofearth,duetowhichItrymybesttoenhancemyselfinacademicfield.

Inmymind,Americaisthemostsuitablecountryformetostudyenvironmentscienceorengineeringasarenownedenvironmentalfriendlycountry,researchersornormalresidencesallhavestrongsenseofenvironmentalprotection.Moreover,asfarasacademyisconcerned,notonlyenvironmentrelatedsubjects,butalsootherprogrammesallsetupenvironmentalprotectionmodulestostrengththeviewpointandactionsofsustainabledevelopmentandenvironmentprotection.Apartofthese,youruniversityequipsmewithadvancedtechnologywhichisprerequisiteinenvironmentengineering.Yourprogrammehasfeaturedalltheadvantagesandgaveuschancetouseourknowledgeintherealworldsuchasdevelopingcountrieswhichattractsme.Icannotwaittocontributemyintelligencetoyourprogramme,communicatingwithelitesfromallovertheworldandenrichmylife.Therefore,IhavefaiththatIhavemadearightchoiceformylife.
Facingthechallengeoftheincreasinglyseriousenvironmentalproblem,Chinaabsolutelyneedslargenumberofprofessionalsinthatfield.Ibelievethechallengeisalsotheopportunityforthosestudentslikemewhowouldliketofurthermystudyinthatfieldandthrowmyselftosolvetheproblembysustainableway.Formyfutureplan,Ihopetomasterthestrongabilityinresearchtechnologyandmethodthroughthepostgraduatestudyinenvironmentalscienceandapplythosetheoriesandtechnologiestothoseunsolvedproblemthathavesignificantimpactwithpeopleslife,suchasmodelbuildingofglobalwarmingandtheprocessingtechnologyofwaterandairpollution.Inmycareerlife,Iwilldorelatedjobsinthatfieldatfirsttoaccumulatepracticalexperienceandfinallybecomeeliteinmyinterestingfield.

Theyear2007witnessedmysmoothenrollmentinxxxxxxUniversity,whichisacomprehensiveuniversitywiththerankof7tharoundChinaandprovidesstudentsaninternationalenvironmentaswellasfocusingonthedevelopmentofstudentsacademicallyandspiritually.Duringtheundergraduateperiod,mymajorAccountingtaughtmehowtounderstandfinancialstatement,howtoanalyzethefinancialindexandhowtomanagementacompanypersistentlyandsteadily.Duetomyintelligenceandhard-workingability,IalwayskeeptoplevelamongmyclassmatesandgainedhighremarksinmycoremodulessuchasMicroeconomics,Finance,Macroeconomics,AdvancedFinancialAccountingandInformationeconomics.AlthoughIhavegoodperformanceinmymajor,IstillholdstronginterestinEconomics.Inmymind,wedon’tliveinanunchangingeconomicenvironmentbutshouldnoticetheimportanceofeconomicalterationtotheoverallsituationofcompany’soperation.
