->Cummings, who was also a painter, understood the importance of presentation, and used typography to "paint a picture" with some of his poems.

2.诗歌形式分析

（1）The poet take apart four words (loneliness/a/leaf/falls)and artfully assemble them to show a picture of leaf falling down.

（2）It looks like “1” as a whole, and “1” is a symbol of being alone. What’s more, we can find more feelings than that, such as loneliness.

（3）Besides the way in which words are put just make a picture of the falling trajectory of a lonely leaf. So that readers seem to watch the leaf falling and can feel stronger feelings about loneliness and helplessness.

（4）All this specific picture shown by poet transform the abstract loneliness into something real and visible.

3.诗歌内容分析(嘿嘿，猜的)

==>n the whole poem, the poet just use four words and put loneliness as the the main part by using parentheses.

->loneliness is not only about the leaf falling down from the mother tree alone but also caused by the poet’s heart. He, as an audience of the falling leaf take the scenery as loneliness while others may take it for granted. For example, some may think that the leaf finally falls into the soil and just prepares for returning back to the leaf in the next year. (positive) So we can say that the loneliness is actually the poet’s.

->Maybe the loneliness is caused by his own experience, since he has two broken marriage in his life. And he was unable to meet with his daughter until 1946. So we can say e.e.Cummings has a lonely personal life,witch was reflected in his poem.
